Jibril Ibrahim-Kano is a seasoned technology professional deeply committed to advancing governance. In his capacity as the Coordinator of Digital Transformation at the African Union/African Peer Review Mechanism

(APRM), he oversees initiatives aimed at monitoring the impact of rapid technological advancements on governance in Africa. He is instrumental in driving digital innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and ultimately improving the effectiveness of the APRM in promoting data-driven decisions, good governance, and development across the continent.


Leading the TechGov program on digital transformation at the APRM Secretariat, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise that spans two decades. With an MBA from Henley Business School, University of Reading (UK), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Bond University (Australia), he possesses a unique blend of business acumen and technical proficiency.


Prior to joining the APRM, he led several successful tech projects in the private sector. His leadership was pivotal in implementing comprehensive digital turnaround strategies, resulting in improved service delivery, increased revenue generation, and enhanced market competitiveness.


Through his dedication to leveraging technology for positive change, he continues to make significant contributions to the intersection of technology and governance in Africa.
